Overview

The purpose of the IAI Fellows program is to honor prolific inventors who have made significant contributions to technological advancement, economic growth, and human welfare around the globe. Election to the IAI Fellow status is one of the highest professional honors accorded to an inventor. Fellows are elected to the IAI by a panel constituting current IAI Fellows.

Nomination of IAI Fellows

Application for consideration for Fellows of very high standards generally come from the candidate’s peers. Fellows are also selected from the qualified IAI members. Fellow nominations are accepted all year round. Self-nominations are also welcome.

Selection of IAI Fellows

Fellow nominations are reviewed and decided by the IAI Advisory Committee. The number of the IAI Fellows elected each year depends on the quality of nominations received. Decisions of the Advisory Committee are final. If a Fellow nominee is not elected, the nominee’s profile will remain on record for committee review for two consecutive years. The successful nominees will be announced in December every year.
